Ferro phosphorus is faveolate symbiotic compound containing 20-26% phosphorus and 0.1-6% silicon.Itis used as an alloying agent in the steelmaking industry, as an alloy additive and deoxidizer in metallurgy.
Phosphorus is a harmful ingredient in general steel products, but in some special products, the addition of phosphorus can improve the performance of steel. Ferro phosphorus is widely used in rolls, automobile cylinder liners, engine rollers and large castings to increase the corrosion resistance and wear resistance of mechanical parts.
Phosphorus is partially soluble in ferrite and partially forms brittle compounds in steelmaking. Under the room temperature, the plasticity and toughness of steel are sharply reduced, and the brittleness transition temperature is increased.
